Filament Clips
Going Forward, the first print I will be making when opening a new spool of filament is the K2 Filament Clip, this should help the filament not get tangled on the spool and floats on spool while printing, so that it will not get lost.
Item | Quantity | Material | Printed | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
K2_Clip | 1 per spool | Same as spool of filament I am using it on | ❌ | Locking version |
In Summary
As you can see I have a preference for certain brands... when I find a filament I like I seem to stick with it.
The first filament I used was the PrimaValue PLA (Dark Grey) and found it printed really well so stuck with the brand until I brought a eSun Filament Dryer box and found that the Prima spools were to wide to fit into the dryer.
I then started experimenting with other brands, the Amazon Basics spools are also wide like the Prima ones and therefore do not fit into the dryer. The Ziro and Tinmorry ones are a perfect fit and I like the choices of filament colours that Tinmorry have.
When I started on my Voron printer project I needed some ABS and the eSun ABS+ came highly recommended and being the same brand as the dryer they were guaranteed to fit.
